Basic Data Type

There are two types of data , namely , Integer and floating point . From these two data types we can further derive two others – Character and double precision . If you attempt to store a number with many digital such as 2.1234543 , will be retained .

The bytes occupied by each of there types of data in memory of a computer as well as the names given to them are shown in table 1.2 figure 1.20 shows these data types as they would appear in a computer’s memory .
